About Cheryl Rowan
Cheryl Rowan, MA, CCC-SLP, earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1991, and then earned her Master’s Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from University of Colorado, Boulder.
Cheryl is listed on the Apraxia Kids Directory of SLPs with expertise in Apraxia. Cheryl has completed advanced training in DTTC (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing), REST (Rapid Syllable Transition Treatment) and PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets). Cheryl is Orton-Gilliam trained, and provides diagnosis and intervention for dyslexia and other reading and language disorders with a comprehensive approach that includes additional training in Spell-Links to Reading and Writing and Language!.
Through her dedication to continuing education, Cheryl keeps abreast of the most recent research in the field of speech-language pathology. Cheryl believes all clients deserve therapy that is evidence-based and grounded in research. Cheryl is the recipient of American Speech Hearing Association’s ACE Award for continuing education.
