I used Cheryl Rowan to help my 2 kiddos with their stuttering when they were 2 & 4 years old. My dad stutters to this day, so needless to say when my son started stuttering, I immediately took action. I brought him to Miss Cheryl, and we started therapy on a weekly basis. It probably took a couple of months, but we started seeing progress. Soon thereafter, my daughter also started exhibiting the same speech impediment, so I added her to the mix. Both of my kids are no longer needing speech therapy at this time (even though I am monitoring it and am ready to go back as needed), but my son Pierce still regularly asks about ‘when are we going back to see Miss Cheryl’s?’ The fact that my kiddos are speaking well without having spent 2 years in therapy twice a week, coupled with my kids’ love for Miss Cheryl, is the best testament that I can provide. I recommend Miss Cheryl to any parent who wants the help of a knowledgeable, experienced, caring and successful speech therapist.
Cheryl has been absolutely wonderful with my 4 year old son Dylan who has significant articulation delays. Not only have we seen a great deal of improvement in a relatively short period of time, but he also loves going to the sessions each week. He was very comfortable with her right away (that’s not typical for him) and she has a knack for keeping him engaged in the therapy, while also making it fun.
Our daughter thrived with Cheryl. She had hearing loss and speech issues as a toddler. She viewed her time with Cheryl as “play time” and in no way “therapy.” I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and outcome for my daughter and now she literally has no speech issues!!! I cannot recommend Cheryl enough!

Cheryl is a miracle worker! My 7 year old had been in speech previously at various points over the years with little progress and so we took a break. He was feeling bothered by his friends not always understanding him so we agreed to work on his speech again. Cheryl was recommended to me and from the very first meeting I knew she would be a great fit. She’s personable and fun and very encouraging to work with. She always made things very clear and understandable for my son and finished his work with her much faster than we expected!
Cheryl provided a fun, safe and friendly learning environment for my daughter. My daughter needed help with her “r’s” and found Cheryl’s lessons so much fun!! There were always so many giggles coming out of that room as they were progressing through lessons and as a mom, nothing warms your heart more! In addition, Cheryl always provided us with homework assignments that we could practice on our own and we always made a fun game out of this. I couldn’t recommend Cheryl Rowan Speech Therapy more highly!

Cheryl is a wonderful SLP [Speech Language Pathologist]. She has provided speech services for my four-year-old for the last year.
